Catherine Hughes
This is like the part of a job interview where they say, “tell me about yourself.” I never really could figure out the best answer to that.
Here goes, I am chronically curious. I love learning in all of its forms. I love to travel. It is the ultimate way to learn and grow.
I am based in the Detroit, Michigan area. I love Detroit, except for winter. I am pretty sure I have an acute allergy to winter. As such, I use my love of traveling to escape as much as I can.
I am a mother of four children. All are now adults. It is strange transitioning from active parenting as a full-time job to just being Mom. If that is really a thing, just a mom!
I married my college sweetheart 28 years ago. We have grown and changed in the past 28 years, but it has made our marriage stronger.
We both took up running a few years ago. My husband is way more dedicated to the training than I am. I have a goal of 2.5 hours for my half marathon, so hopefully, that gets my butt out the door on a more regular basis. (When we get a chance to run races again?)
I started a company to promote artists and art fairs, and then Covid-19 happened. If you are an artist and want to join the community, check out The Art Fair Gallery. Meanwhile, wish me luck! I
I am chronically in the middle of a bunch of projects. I am really good at starting them, finishing them seems to be a problem.
Not sure if that is what you were looking for. I seem to have the same problem when interviewing, but then I could see the interviewers’ faces. I hope I passed! If not, please feel free to reach out to me.
